16th Annual United Negro College Fund Black Tie Gala - January 15, 2005 - Marriott, Oakland, California

The 16th Annual Frederick D. Patterson Black Tie Gala & Awards Presentation will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at the Oakland Marriott City Center, Oakland, California.

(PRWEB) December 29, 2004 -- The 16th Annual Frederick D. Patterson Black Tie Gala & Awards Presentation will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at the Oakland Marriott City Center, Oakland, California. There will be a No Host Reception & Silent Auction at 5:30 pm and doors open at 6:45 pm. The evening will also feature A World Renowned Exhibit commissioned by Morehouse College. Award recipients for this gala event will be presented to Cisco Systems, Inc. for Corporation of the Year and Ms. Lunita Boyden for Individual of the Year.

About The Gandhi /King/Ikeda Exhibit
The Gandi, King, Ikeda exhibit is nationally renowned extolling humanist virtues and it champions. Originally commissioned by Dean Lawrence Carter of Morehouse College Atlanta, GA. The exhibit provides a holistic look at Gandhi, King, and Ikedas non-violence movement and accomplishments to world peace. The exhibit is composed of multiple free standing shaped panels describing the accomplishments of these champions of humanism.

Both The Non-Profit Times and The Chronicle of Philanthropy rank UNCF among the top 10 charitable educational organizations in the country.

Barrons ranks UNCF as the number one educational charity in terms of efficiency in distributing funds raised.

Tuition and fees at UNCF colleges are approximately half that of other private American colleges while their endowments are one-third the size of the average majority institutions endowment.

UNCF supports nearly 65,000 students who attend more than 950 colleges and universities across the country including every Ivy League college and university.
