VSGi Provides Equipment and Services to Capital Christian Center to Enable Live Web Cast of Christmas Eve Services

800 people attend Christmas Eve service at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts including members stationed in Iraq

The churchs close proximity to the Ft. Lewis military base means many members of the congregation have family in the military stationed over in Iraq this holiday season.

The 90-minute service, which featured holiday music, dance performances, a sermon and Communion, was broadcast live over the Internet with help from VSGi utilizing video and web conferencing technologies. Working with the church, VSGi implemented Tandberg videoconferencing, ISDN network and ConferServ streaming services to facilitate the delivery of the service to church members and others around the world. Soldiers were able to watch the service live and will also be able to view the archived stream bringing them closer to home" for the holidays.
