"Push-to-Talk" Service for IP based telephony networks

For the first time a "Push-to-Talk" service is available for IP phones connected to an IP PBX, offering a messaging service for VoIP networks.

Starnberg (PRWEB) December 31, 2004 -- For the first time a "Push-to-Talk" service is available for IP phones connected to an IP PBX.

The "push-to-Talk" service, heavily covered by mobile operators, offers the direct anouncement of messages to a group of telephony users. Using the service reduces the need to establish conferences or having a lot of one-to-one conversations.

The new service, which is part of the IP telephony framework "AND Phone", can be implemented in new as well as existing IPT deployments. Based on mutlicast technology the amount of traffic needed is kept very low, allowing a seamless integration.
