The international boating internet portal marinamap has opened its sailing race calendar for input from sailing clubs and associations.

Having done a simple registration, organizers of sailing races may type in their announcements into a password-protected form. After a quick check by the marinamap staff the race information will be online as part of the international race calendar on the marinamap website.

"Beside the great international sailing events we are especially inviting organizers of smaller races to publish their information free of charge on marinamap", Ralph Hillebrand, founder of marinamap, says.

The marinamap website provides world wide comprehensive information about marinas and other services necessary for every skipper - such as sail makers, engine services, yacht shops or boat fuel docks. marinamap is the first maritime internet service to enable the user to search based on a geographic position. When the user clicks on the world map shown, a list of marinas and boating services located nearby is presented, - in order of the geographic distance from the mouse click on the map.
