SEATTLE, WA (PRWEB) February 9, 2004
Snerdware LLC today released Groupcal ViewerÂ, the third addition to its integration suite for the Macintosh OS X desktop and Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 and 2003. Groupcal Viewer 1.0 enables one to subscribe to any Microsoft Exchange-based calendar directly from Apple iCal. Groupcal Viewer was created for people who need the calendar subscription features of its big brother GroupcalÂ, but not the power to view Free/Busy time and publish to Exchange. Groupcal Viewer further extends the Microsoft Exchange integration provided by Snerdware's already successful AddressXÂ, which allows access to the Exchange Global Address List from the OS X Address Book.
Groupcal Viewer is completely transparent to both OS X and Exchange. Groupcal Viewer does not require any software be installed on Exchange servers. Calendars are made available on or offline in iCal. Best of all when used with Apple iSync, Exchange calendars can now easily be made available on an iPod, Palm Pilot, cell phone, or any other iSync compatible device. Like AddressX, Groupcal Viewer was designed with both end users and IT departments in mind.
"Groupcal Viewer is a great solution for Mac users that need read-only access to calendars on their Microsoft Exchange servers, but not the more powerful management features of Groupcal," said Jacob Swed, Snerdware CEO. "Mac users can not only view their Exchange calendars, they can view any calendar on their Exchange server. Whether it is located in a public folder or one to which they have delegate access. Being able to view any Exchange calendar without giving up the simplicity and ease-of-use of iCal has been a huge benefit to Mac users."
Groupcal Viewer 1.0 is currently available for purchase from Snerdware. A Single User License is $30 USD, 5 User License Packs are $120 USD, and 25 User License Packs are $560 USD. Larger volume pricing and site licenses are available. Snerdware also offers educational, government, and non-profit organizational discounts to qualifying parties.
