CHICAGO, IL (PRWEB) February 9, 2004 -–Judge Kenneth L. Gillis (retired) announced that his candidacy for 42nd Ward Democratic Committeeman has received the endorsement of the Independent Voters of Illinois – Independent Precinct Organization.
Judge Kenneth L. Gillis, stated I am very pleased that the Independent Voters of Illinois have voted to endorse my candidacy for Committeeman. The IVI-IPO is highly respected organization of non-partisan voters, dating back to 1944. I consider their support to be an important step to revitalizing the 42nd Democratic Ward organization be committed to serving the residents, instead of the lining the pockets of developers and politicians.
It is my primary goal to bring new people into the Democratic Party and political process. I believe if one man, of either party, is in complete control it can only result in problems, greed and corruption. It is important that Democrats living in the 42nd Ward have someone who can stand firm and offer an advocate to protect their interests. I strongly believe that my record as Judge and States Attorney proves that I am that person," concluded Judge Gillis.
