Shelby Perkins- to the outside world, Shelby has it all. A handsome husband, a beautiful daughter and more money than she can spend, but Shelby is hiding a terrible secret. She is an abused wife. Afraid to lose her daughter and start over. Will Shelby find the strength to reclaim her life?

Rain Stevens- was abandoned by her mother at 14. Forced into a life of stripping and prostitution to survive. The one thing that Rain wants more than anything, is to find her father. Rain's evil mother Jackie re-enters her life with promises to answer all of her questions, but all she really wants to do is destroy her daughters life.

Join Taryn, Shelby and Rain on a journey full of hopes, dreams, disappointments and betrayal as they each try to find their own special place in this world.

The author says she wrote this book to inspire women of all races, ages and social backgrounds to follow their dreams. Like the characters in the book, Ms. Forbes has been through many hardships in life, but she always knew that God brought each and every one of us here for a purpose, and it is never too late to change your life and achieve your goals.

About Author: Sheila L. Forbes is a resident of New York City and she is currently working on her second book. Ms. Forbes also has an article titled, These Three Words, in the current issue of the online magazine Nubian Chronicles.
