Raleigh Plastic Surgeon Dr. Michael Law is the Grand Sponsor of Children's Flight of Hope Fundraiser.

The Children's Flight of Hope First Annual Wine Tasting & Auction will take place Thursday, April 29, 2004 at 6:30pm in Jetcraft Hangar, RDU Airport. A Vintage Affair will be one of Childrens Flight of Hopes two most important fundraising events this year. The evening will feature unique and carefully chosen wines with commentary from a local sommelier. Our featured wines will be paired with fabulous food from some of the Triangles leading chefs. A silent auction will offer wine from around the world and luxurious getaways for wine enthusiasts. And all of this will take place in Jetcrafts RDU hangar, a beautiful space that can accommodate all of our guests as well as the Childrens Flight of Hope aircraft.

Many people often assume that the greatest hurdle a sick child faces is finding the treatment required to help treat his or her condition. For many children, however, specialized medical care is readily available but getting to a treatment facility located many miles from home is the greatest obstacle to overcome. Children's Flight of Hope was founded to meet the transportation needs of these children.

The mission of Children's Flight of Hope is to provide free private air transportation to and from medical facilities for critically ill or injured children (with their families or guardians) who, due to medical, financial, or logistical reasons, are unable to travel to their destinations by any other mode. Highly qualified volunteer pilots operate the organization's aircraft to transport children and their families to and from medical facilities throughout the eastern United States. Children's Flight of Hope seeks not only to ease the financial burden of air travel but also to provide comfort and hope to the families we serve by providing quality service and the utmost attentiveness to their needs.

Corporate and individual sponsorships are available. We are also grateful for donations of auction items and volunteer support. Your contribution will be deeply appreciated and will help ensure that more children can access the care they need and can focus on getting better for a brighter tomorrow.
