Sister 2 Sister Readers Say There's Too Much Sex in Entertainment"

Magazines largely urban audience weighs in on whether entertainers have crossed the line.

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 18, 2004 -- Sister 2 Sister (S2S) readers are staying…well...abreast of the fall out since the Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake half-time show at Super Bowl XXVIII, and most of them say that entertainers are going too far with sex in their performances. Response to a Sister 2 Sister (S2S) Internet poll shows that readers are mostly tired of it, with nearly 75% responding to the poll saying there is too much sex in entertainment."

Of that 75%, a majority (about 42%) say entertainers should spend more time thinking about how a quick romp on stage or in a video could impact society and less time anticipating what impact it will have on their album sales.

About 31% of the majority of respondents said, Even rabbits take a break!"

Only about 10% of those responding are satisfied with what they are seeing, with about 4% saying they dont see enough sex in entertainment. The poll, which was posted the week of February 9, will continue through the last week in February. Sister 2 Sister magazine invites everyone to log on to http://www.s2smagazine.com to weigh in.

The question posed to readers on the Sister 2 Sister website reads

Janet Jackson felt perfectly comfortable showing her naked breast on network TV. Universal Music Group and hardcore porn makers Vivid Entertainment have proposed an uncensored music TV channel. 50 Cent and G-Unit are creating Groupie Luv, an interactive adult DVD that lets you join their entourage, choose which groupie you want to see having sex and where it takes place. These days, entertainers are pushing the limits of how much sex they can present to mainstream audiences. But is it too much? Pick the answer that best represents your opinion.
1. There is no such thing as too much sex. In fact, I want more!
2. There is too much sex in entertainment. It has gone too far. No one wants to see and hear about it all the time. Even rabbits take a break!
3. There is too much sex! Entertainers need to think about society and not just their wallets. Sex is about more than just money.
4. The amount of sex in entertainment is moving along at just the right pace.
5. None of the above expresses my opinion.
