March's Sister 2 Sister Features 24 Pages on the B2K Break Up
National celebrity news magazine dissects swirling rumors like none other with individual interviews with each member, their estranged manager and even page after page of fan reactions.
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 17, 2004 -- The March edition of Sister 2 Sister (S2S), the most trusted celebrity news and lifestyle magazine for African Americans, is a literal he said-he said" as it pieces together the complicated puzzle that some are calling the breakup of boy-band sensation and stars of the new movie You Got Served," B2K. The magazine, which features 24 pages of one-on-one interviews with Omarion, Lil Fizz, J-Boog, Raz B, embattled manager Chris Stokes and B2K fans hits newsstands Tuesday, February 17th.
Stories of betrayal, feuding, fighting, mud-slinging and missing money are all central to the bombshell which is chronicled in articles which make up nearly 25% of the entire March edition of Sister 2 Sister.
Some of the B2K members say that there really was no breakup at all—just a messy divorce from their management company, T.U.G. Entertainment and a new marriage to CMX Entertainment. The separation wasnt a clean break, according to the group, however. It seems member Omarion is sticking with T.U.G. Entertainments Chris Stokes despite the turmoil, and going solo.
Well, Chris put the word out there that B2K broke up, which is not true," said B2K member Lil Fizz. Me, Raz and Boog, we left Chris Stokes management company and Omari chose to stay with his [Chris Stokes] management company. So, therefore, we will no longer be B2K until Omari decides to leave Chris Stokes management company because we refuse to work with Chris…because of foul business."
Where is the $3 million that B2K claims they never saw from the Scream Tours? Stokes says that the group didnt make as much as they thought on the Scream tours because they went completely over budget. He blames that on a first-time, rookie shot at producing by Raz B.
They did a lot of different things on that tour that cost a lot of money," said Stokes. From whether its pyros, trucks, stage…the stage was hundreds of thousands of dollars. They wanted to go out and do a big show for their fans, which was fine. But it went over budget."
Lead singer Omarion said that for now, hes sticking with Stokes.
I feel like it was as easy as a phone call or it was as easy as us all sitting down and saying ‘Okay, listen, were not happy with this, were not happy with that. How are we gonna change this… it never was a group discussion with B2K and Chris and I feel that things were kinda blown out of proportion," said Omarion.
Now that the former B2K minus Omarion have signed on with CMX Entertainment as advisors" and not managers" according to the remaining trio (contractually, the four young men have ownership of the name B2K, so separately the legal name seems to be in limbo), they have a word for their fans:
Just tell all of our fans that we love them," continued Raz B. And we just want them to stick by us like theyve never stuck by anybody."
