Local Residential Phone Service, Phoenix Residents Now Have More Choices.

Recently ProvideTechnology has started a strong focus on the local residential phone service markets along with providing options for customers in states that have very high intrastate rates (long distance calls inside the state), who desire to keep their local service provider by providing free local phone service comparisons.

Recently the staff of ProvideTechnology launched a page of their website dedicated 100% to local residential phone service for the Phoenix market along with a few additional options. Option one is Ztel Unlimited Local and Long Distance which allows most clients in the Phoenix and surrounding areas to get unlimited calling for only 59.99 a month. ProvideTechnology’s CEO Jack Spirko remarked, "Ztel is a great option for Arizona residents because along with unlimited calling it provides a free Personal Voice Assistant. This allows a customer to simply pick up the phone hit 00, then hit 1 and say, for instance "call Mom", and Mom’s number will be dialed automatically. Along with great rates and advanced features Ztel customer service is simply amazing, the Personal Voice Assistant for example, is managed online and you can log in and enter your contacts, their numbers, emails, nicknames etc. but if the customer does not have internet access they can call Ztel and a Ztel rep will enter the data for them. In a state where the typical caller is paying from 15-22 cents a minute for instate long distance this service can provide additional features such as the PVA and save the average family hundreds of dollars per year at the same time. In addition to Ztel, ProvideTechnology has four additional options for Phoenix residents three of which are some what conventional options.

Option one is a long distance provider named CoVista, which provides a state-to-state rate of 3.9 cents a minute and an intrastate rate of 11.5 cents a minute. The second option is a dial around service provided by ITL that is called KallCents. KallCents allows clients to simply dial an 800 number before making long distance calls. By doing so the client "dials around" the local providers in Arizona and gets a rate of only 5.9 cents for all calls no matter when they are made or where they are placed to in the U.S. One of the biggest reasons clients choose KallCents is because they don’t have to switch providers. Customers can simply sign up online and then dial the 800 number when they make a long distance call all while keeping their existing local carrier.

The third option is a provider, aptly named ZeroCents provides a dial around service that is attractive to callers who make a lot of long distance calls who again don’t want to "switch providers". ZeroCents, like KallCents is a dial around service that works a bit differently, rather then an 800 number the caller simply dials a local access number and then can make calls anywhere in the US for only $29.99 a month. This service has a free address book so the client can enter the numbers they call most and set speed dial for the access number. At that point calling a person on ZeroCents is actually faster then making a direct dial call.

There is yet one more option that is a bit "high tech", for Phoenix residents called broad band phone service. Arizona residents with a broad band connection such as Cable Modem, DSL or T1 service can get an unlimited residential line for only 19.95 a month from one of the companies vendors, Packet8. Mr. Spirko concluded, "The most popular services we have been working with lately are the broad band based telephony products like Packet8. We don’t recommend them currently as a complete replacement for local service but as an addition. A client can get the most basic local service from their local provider at a very low rate and use Packet8 or another broad band provider for all out bound calling. This will give them a line that will always have access to 911 services even during a power failure where your cable modem or DSL modem may be with out power.
