Secrets of finding thousands of items priced under $1.00
A new report from WJS Sales of New York shows secrets of shopping for and finding thousands of useful and everyday items for under $1.00.
(PRWEB) March 2, 2004 --In today's ever-changing economy, shoppers are constantly looking for ways to save money. A new report from WJS Sales in New York can help them do just that.
Savings and discount expert Wes Sass explains: "It is more important than ever before to make every dollar count." In the new special report, titled "Living on 99 Cents", there are step-by step instructions on how to save up to 70% over regular prices on thousands of items.
Sass says "There are so many discount stores out there today, as well as regular stores offering large price reductions, that smart shoppers have
more opportunities than ever before to save really significant amounts of money".
As an example, he notes that "You should never start your shopping for school supplies anywhere else than your local "dollar" store. They will have almost everything you need. such as notebooks, paper, pens, pencils and much more".
Another prime savings area according to Sass is in holiday items. "You can completely decorate your Christmas tree with items costing no more than a dollar each and it will look great." Ceramic figures, comparable with those found in "regular" stores, offer a great way to save. Christmas cards, often a large holiday expense, can be purchased for great discounts as well.
Health and beauty items can often be costly. By shopping wisely, you can save on makeup, shampoo, soap, toothpaste and most other items in this category.
Cleaning items are often major expenses but can be had for much less money if you shop wisely. Paper towels, rags, dish soap, laundry detergent, brooms, dustpans are just some of the items that you can save big money on.
Food and drink, surprisingly, are also available at discounts (we know how expensive they are) -Bread, bagels, cakes, sodas, juices, cereals, chips, cold cuts, meats and much more are available.
"One of my favorite areas to save is in home furnishings", Sass notes. "All kinds of tools, from hammers and screwdrivers to knives and extension cords are available-most of the tools I have cost under a dollar and they work great." In this area you can also save on cups, dishes, clothes hangers, light bulbs and much, much more.
Among other savings categories covered in the report are decorative items, party items and toys, all available at great discounts.
Also listed are 2 "shopping sprees", including one where $91.75 worth of merchandise was purchased with a $25.00 budget a savings of 73% over regular prices.
"You just can't beat these savings", says Sass. The report also supplies blank shopping lists where you can actually compare prices to see how much you saved.
"One of the great misconceptions in discount shopping is that you have to sacrifice quality-you don't! Often you can purchase the exact same item for much less on discount."
"We have seen parents furnish much of their child's bedroom or dormitory room at great discounts; also we have seen holidays and parties costing a fraction of what a normal cost would be; and children's school supllies at huge savings."
Sass voices concern at " the stigma of shopping at discount stores seems to still be with us, despite economic conditions. We are trying to make everyone intelligent shoppers who, with a bit of involvement, can turn shopping into a pleasant and more profitable act."
