Land Conservancy Fundraiser to Include Original Artwork from Historical Landscape artist Jeff Fioravanti.

Annual auction / fundraiser to help protect and preserve the natural beauty of Adams County Pennsylvania, including the area in and around Gettysburg, PA., site of the most defining land battle of the American Civil War, from urban sprawl.

Gettysburg, Pa (PRWEB) March 2, 2004 --The Land Conservancy of Adams County, a non-profit land trust dedicated to the preservation of the natural, agricultural, historical, and recreational land resources of Adams County will conduct its 7th annual fundraiser auction on Sunday, April 18, 2004. The auction, as in years past, will once be held at the Blue Parrot Bistro, 35 Chambersburg St., in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Doors for the auction open at noon, and bidding will begin at 1:00 PM. All donated artwork for the auction will be on exhibition at the Blue Parrot Bistro beginning April 2, 2004, and a wine and cheese reception is scheduled for that same evening in honor of all the artists who have made a donation to the 2004 auction.

The auction, which serves as one of the top generators of revenue for funding the mission and programs of the Land Conservancy, will occur in conjunction with the 7th annual History Meets the Arts" weekend in Gettysburg, Pa., and will feature among its many outstanding items up for bid, an original pastel painting, created especially for the Land Conservancy auction, by nationally recognized and award winning historical landscape and preservation artist Jeff Fioravanti.

Jeff donated a signed/numbered Giclee print in 2003, and we are quite pleased to be able to offer one of Jeffs original works in this years auction" stated Land Conservancy member and auction coordinator Bob Prosperi. Though he lives several hundred miles and states away, Jeff has worked closely with us, and has shown a great interest and appreciation for the Land Conservancy and its efforts to protect and preserve the future of Adams County", continued Prosperi. We hope his donation will inspire others, and will, in combination with the many other outstanding items we have up for bid, make our 2004 auction the most successful ever!" concluded Prosperi.
