Lok Technology Builds Distribution Network in the United Kingdom

Lok Technology, developer of the AirLok Wireless Infrastructure Appliance and other trusted computing appliances, has launched its UK sales efforts by signing distribution and reseller agreements with DT Distribution, a company that specializes in introducing new technologies in the UK Marketplace, and Access Information Limited, an accredited reseller of leading edge communication devices. Both companies will sell and support all AirLok models throughout the UK and portions of Europe.

It resells Hughes Network Systems and is a distributor for smartBridges Wireless LAN solutions.

Lok Technology will sell its entire range of wireless network infrastructure appliances in the UK. Models range from the carrier-class AirLok 700, which has a 3-terabyte cache and can handle over 50,000 simultaneous users to the new AirLok 318, which is designed to manage small enterprise WLANs. The AirLok 318 retails for about US$3000.

Lok Technology introduced the AirLok to the Wi-Fi & WLAN market in October 2003 at WISPCON IV in Dallas. It has since begun filling orders from wireless Internet service providers (WISPs) and enterprises that are either building or securing their wireless and wireline networks. Current deployments include service providers, airlines, convention centers, condominiums, and marinas.
