Local Hawkesbury Candidate strikes up a tune
Unlike most candidates in Hawkesbury's upcoming local government election, 22 year old Robert Glover is a candidate with a difference.
(PRWEB) March 9, 2004 --Unlike most candidates in Hawkesbury's upcoming local government election, 22 year old Robert Glover is a candidate wanting to make a difference. "I'm running as a candidate because as a young person I was surprised at the lack of representation for the Hawkesbury's youth." Robert Said.
Robert is a regular participant within the community being an active wakeboarder on the Hawkesbury River, go-karter at Butterfly Farm and general socialising across the community including karaoke at the Richmond Inn on Thursday night. "I love to meet and connect to local people and Karaoke is one such place where I enjoy those pleasures. It's just a great night where friends and I can test our singing abilities, or lack of, within the thick walls of the building"
Some of my singing favourites include, Shannon Nolls What about me, Brian Adams Summer of 69, Cold Chisels khe Sanh, Blink 182 and Good Charlotte, to name a few."
Robert is not uncomfortable in the limelight as he has been a former school captain of Colo High School and is presently the Club Captain of the Hawkesbury Amateur Swimming Club. Currently Robert works as a consultant for Rhino Security located at McGraths Hill and if elected will endeavour to make the Hawkesbury community a safer place to live.
In Hawkesbury City's upcoming local government election, Robert is running on group B along with Trevor Devine, Rod Rose, Colleen Turnbull, Paul Thomas and Tim Walker.
