Indie-Connections Radio Joins The Live365.com Radio Network.

Indie-Connections Radio, a station playing selected unsigned and indie label acts, recently began broadcasting 24/7 using Live365.com's real-time streaming services.

(PRWEB) March 22, 2004 --Indie-Connections Radio, one of the web's biggest supporters of unsigned and indie label artists, recently began broadcasting 24/7 at Live365.com, the world's largest internet radio network. In mid-2001, Indie-Connections (also known as I-Conn) began as an artist directory site that was open to all independent and/or unsigned musicians seeking an online presence. By early-2002, having noted that there were already numerous artist directory sites that promoted all who applied, it was decided that a change was needed. With so many artist directories dumping tons of unscreened artists into a "sea of artist pages", it was difficult for a music enthusiast to find the truly talented artists without first having to wade through hundreds of artists to find the proverbial "needle in a haystack". I-Conn changed its "open door" application and began screening submissions for talent, consistency and production quality. As the site became finer tuned, more ideas started to develop.

During mid-2003, I-Conn became Indie-Connections Radio, an online radio station, playing only the most talented of applicants in a streaming, on-demand mp3 format. On Feb. 8th of this year, real-time broadcasting began at Live365.com. Now, instead of only having the option to search artist pages, a listener can go to I-Conn, turn on the "radio", and listen to music that's been screened for quality by our program directors. If a listener wants to learn more about an artist in our playlists, they can still visit an artist page on the main site at www.indie-connections.com. Artist pages include a bio, image, links to personal websites, and direct buy links to facilitate artist CD sales.
