Good Samaritan Hospital Offers Expanded Behavioral Health Services

The Behavioral Health Department of Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y. is now offering additional outpatient services for those who suffer from co-occurring disorders which is defined as a person with a psychiatric disorder and an addictive illness at the same time. The new services will focus on treating both disorders simultaneously.

(PRWEB) March 17, 2004 --The Behavioral Health Department of Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y. is now offering additional outpatient services for those who suffer from co-occurring disorders which is defined as a person with a psychiatric disorder and an addictive illness at the same time. The new services will focus on treating both disorders simultaneously. Patients will be able to attend treatment up to several times a week as necessary. The added services will provide for the evaluation and treatment of the clients and will include:

·   Group Therapy
·   Individual Therapy
·   Medication Management
·   Toxicology

The overall goal of the new services is to help clients to improve their quality of life. Good Samaritan Hospital will focus on helping each individual experience an increase in functioning, stability, and ultimately a reduction in symptoms. By utilizing a recovery model for both psychiatric and addictive illness, those who participate can be assured that they will receive the best care, devotion and guidance to help them back on their feet.

The additional services will be provided at the Monsignor Patrick J. Frawley Outpatient Mental Health Clinic in Suffern, New York. All referrals are welcome, and most insurance policies, including Medicare and Medicaid are accepted. Good Samaritan Hospital is part of the Bon Secours Charity Health System, which also includes St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick, NY and Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, NY.

Additionally, Bon Secours Charity Health System provides the services of a Certified Home Health Agency, two long-term care facilities, an assisted living and adult home facility and several other medical programs.
