Gold Buckle Media Announces Cleo Hearn as Inaugural Key Industry Advisory Board Member

Legendary Cowboy Joins Western Sports and Lifestyle Programming Developers Rodeo Operations Committee

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) March 25, 2004 -— Gold Buckle Media (www.goldbucklemedia.com) announced today the addition of Hall-of-Fame Cowboy Cleo Hearn to its Key Industry Advisory Board Rodeo Operations Committee. Mr. Hearn will advise company management on all aspects of rodeo operations and production.

The Rodeo Operations Committees inaugural member, veteran cowboy Cleo Hearn is founder of The Cowboys of Color Rodeo, a nonprofit organization promoting the historical contributions of African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans to the development of the western United States. Since 1975 Mr. Hearn has organized and produced his multi-city Cowboys of Color rodeo, the largest multicultural rodeo circuit in the country.

I am excited to help Gold Buckle Media develop high-quality, high-impact rodeo productions for a national TV audience," says Mr. Hearn. The time is right for a media outlet dedicated to Western sports and lifestyle programming, and I look forward to advising Gold Buckle Media as a member of the Rodeo Operations Committee."

Mr. Hearn has been a Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) member since 1959 and still competes in rodeos across the country. Known as Mr. Black Rodeo" in professional cowboy circles, Hearn is a legend in his own time. A proud father with all four of his sons competing in professional rodeos, Hearn recently retired from a 30-year career with Ford Motor Companys Southwest Division. According to Hearn, I believe to be happy in life you need three things: something to love, something to do, and something to look forward to. Rodeo has filled those needs for me and my family."

Gold Buckle Media has created a new national television channel to satisfy significant market demand for a media outlet providing Western sports, music, and lifestyle programming. Available nationwide via cable and satellite, the channel will produce, air, and market a wide variety of popular Western lifestyle programming, including live and taped bull riding and equestrian events, outdoor sports, talk shows and documentaries, reality shows, music videos, concerts, behind-the-scenes shows, and high-definition television (HDTV) specials.
