ATLANTA (PRWEB) March 25, 2004 -- The Atlanta Electronic Commerce Forum announced today its 14th annual EC Day, a half-day seminar to be held on the morning of Thursday, April 15, 2004 at the Georgia Power corporate headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jointly sponsored by the Atlanta Electronic Commerce Forum (AECF) and the Georgia Electronic Commerce Association (GECA), EC Day 2004 will focus on growing revenue and profits by optimizing e-commerce processes to create a strong competitive advantage. Case studies will provide the foundation for numerous practical and creative examples of electronic commerce applications.    For the second year, EC Day will include a dedicated program track that will provide Continuing Legal Education credits for members of the technology law community.

The morning keynote address will feature respected electronic commerce thought leader, Bob Swiggum, vice president of information technologies at Georgia-Pacific. Mr. Swiggum will discuss how this global forest products leader is using electronic commerce technologies to take advantage of the recovering economy.

Ideal for practitioners, mid-level and senior executives who need to understand the latest issues surrounding electronic commerce, EC Day 2004 will offer sessions that discuss topics ranging from financial and supply chain issues to public policy. John Goetzman of AECF says Weve got some great speakers lined up to share best practices as well as their experiences with new technologies."

The AECF is the oldest and largest non-profit trade association in Georgia, focused exclusively on business and technology issues relating to electronic commerce. Via a strong membership base that includes Atlantas largest companies as well as emerging technology firms, the organization is able to provide an environment that fosters the development of best practices in e-commerce while maintaining an unbiased, non-commercial atmosphere.

GECA is a not-for-profit partnership of public and private sector organizations working together to reshape public policy for a knowledge economy. GECA advocates a favorable environment for electronic commerce and government by supporting public policy that is market driven, predictable, sustainable, simple, fair, technology and media neutral and harmonized.

For additional information on EC Day 2004 visit www.atlecf.org. The seminar is only $25 for members or $95 for guests who register by April 5, 2004.
