Identitee to Provide Peace of Mind at IKEA Seattle Kids Health and Safety Fair

In crowded places, kids can get separated from parents in the blink of eye. (PRWEB) April 8, 2004 -- In crowded places, kids can get separated from parents in the blink of eye. That is why IKEA Seattle announced today that, while supplies last, children attending the 7th annual IKEA Seattle Kids Health and Safety Fair in Renton, WA will receive a complimentary IdentiteeTM, a brand new concept in family safety that makes it faster and easier for lost children and parents to reunite.

Our goal with the IKEA Seattle Kids Health and Safety Fair is to teach kids about living safe and healthy lives. Given that purpose and the fact that thousands of people are expected to attend this event, we think providing Identitee makes perfect sense," says Casey Crook from the IKEA Seattle Kids Club. We think Identitee is an important precaution for family outings and want to help get the word out about it. We believe that Identitee will provide peace of mind for our guests and help our staff bring families back together if kids lose track of their parents."

We are thrilled that Identitee will be part of the IKEA Seattle Kids Health and Safety Fair. As parents ourselves, we believe that this is a terrific family event and a great opportunity to teach kids about all elements of safety. Since Identitee serves both as a starting point for positive conversations about safety and as a practical tool should families become separated, we think this is the perfect venue to introduce and demonstrate the product," said Marne Simpson, Inventor and Founder of Mugwumps, the creator of Identitee.

Identitee contains all the essentials for reunification in one smart little pocket that kids dont even notice. The parent or guardian simply lists two phone numbers on the Contact Card such as a mobile number and a home or hotel number, along with any special needs the child may have and a designated meeting place. Then they simply apply the adhesive Stick-On Pocket to the back of the childs clothing and seal the card inside. The parent keeps a handy Reminder Card listing what the child is wearing, the designated meeting place, and helpful guidelines to follow should they become separated from their child.

Identitee is designed to be noticed quickly if a child is lost while only revealing contact information that is necessary for reunification. No names, addresses or other information that can put the child at risk are included.    When the child is found, the Contact Card can speak for the child and provide the person who finds them with clear instructions on what to do. Without this information, reuniting the child and parent can take an excruciating amount of time to co-ordinate. Identitee is designed to dramatically reduce that time.

Flat, lightweight, and simple to use, Identitee fits easily into a diaper bag, purse or pocket. Each Identitee is intended for one-day use and works great for kids of all ages, from toddlers to teens. The product is also applicable to special needs adults such as those with Alzheimers disease or speech and hearing impediments. Anyone who may need help communicating can be assisted with Identitee.

At $5.00 for a package of three, Identitee is easy to buy and very affordable. Bulk pricing is also available for retail promotions, large group and school use, fundraising campaigns, and event entry hand-outs.
