Youth ChalleNGe is a 17-1/2 month program for students at-risk of dropping out of high school. These youth decide for themselves that a change is needed in their lives and apply to attend the prestigious military style school. Each class is divided into a 5-1/2 month Residential Phase where the students are housed and trained at the program site in Galveston. The remaining 12-month Post-Residential Phase consists of graduates pursuing their education and career goals with the help of adult volunteer mentors from their hometowns across Texas.
