This Tax Season Skip the Long Lines at the Post Office!

If your trying to avoid the long lines at the Post Office this Tax Season you may want to use some of those new Automated Certified Mail Envelopes. You'll save time, money and the trip to the Post Office.

(PRWEB) April 10, 2004 --Tax Season is painful enough writing a check to the IRS, but mailing it using USPS Certified Mail can be just as painful. No wonder companies like USCertifiedLetters have a booming business! They have invented a Certified Mail Envelope specifically designed to simplify the process. Saving the trip to the Post Office and eliminating standing in lines is what most customers like best about our new envelopes" says William T. Carter President and founder of USCertifiedLetters. Actually tracking your Certified Mail and having proof of delivery is just as important.

Most people assume Certified Mail can be tracked on the USPS web site and thats just not true. The USPS web site only reports the final delivery scan, to show delivery and thats dependent on the letter carriers properly scanning the letter and collecting a signature. Just because you pay the $2.30 USPS Certified Mail fee does not mean youll receive a receipt to prove your letter actually got delivered. USPS charges an additional $1.75 per letter for that service. In fact, thats why many of our customers like our new automated Certified Mail envelopes.

USCertifiedLetters invented the envelope and software to track both in-route and final delivery process. Our patented technology can even track First Class letters and provide Electronic Return Receipt for Certified Mail. Carter says Its kind of like having an early warning radar on each letter" The sender can receive an electronic notification if something goes wrong during the USPS delivery process. What can go wrong with Certified Mail you ask? Almost anything! USCL maintains a database with more than 80,000 active client transactions nationwide. They see first hand many of the USPS delivery problems. We try to help both our customers and the U.S. Postal Service. Certified Mail isnt necessarily good news mail". Its primarily used to provide legal proof when serving demand notices, late notices or even tax payments each April 15th.

If youre canceling someones insurance or ceasing property, many state laws require the notice be sent through USPS Certified Mail. If the letter is not properly scanned at delivered, or a signature obtained to show legal proof of delivery it becomes a legal technicality if you ever end up in court. Our service even files for a USPS refunds for non-performance. Most people are surprised about the delivery performance from USPS Certified Mail. Our customers certainly enjoy getting refunds from the Postal Service, but whats more important is that USPS delivers each Certified Mail letter correctly. This means properly scanning the letter, collecting a delivery signature and completing the transaction timely.

Using the new Certified Mail envelopes from USCL helps our clients save time, money and the trip to the Post Office. The software creates the address label and prints the special USPS tracking bar codes. Customers save $.25 postage when using the Electronic Return Receipt and you no longer need to drive to the Post Office and stand in long lines just to mail a Certified Letter.

More than one billion dollars is spent on USPS Certified Mail. The Postal Service first offered Certified Mail more than 200-years ago. USCertifiedLetters has modernized the process with automated solutions for companies of all sizes. Recently the company introduced its new Certified Mail Envelopes. Our envelopes are ideal for mailing IRS tax returns or any original document such as checks, car titles even medical prescriptions needing to be mailed by USPS Certified Mail. Each of the envelopes can save customers time, money and the trip to the Post Office! The company is planning for retail distribution at a number of big box office stores or they can be ordered online at www.usclonline.com/envelopes

To avoid mailing delays or IRS penalties we suggest the following USPS Certified Mail tips:

1. Make sure your Certified Mail letter is properly addressed. This means using the correct Certified Mail forms supplied at the Post Office or one of the new USPS approved Certified Mail Envelopes mentioned above. (www.uscertifiedletters.com)

2. Make sure you affix the correct postage. USPS Certified Mail fees are $2.30 plus First Class postage of $0.37. If your using the old fashioned Green Card to show proof of delivery youll need to add an additional $1.75.

3. Allow plenty of time to get to the Post Office. Youll need to hand your letter to a clerk behind the counter and receive a receipt. If your using the new envelope, you can simply mail drop the envelope in the bin and run.

4. If you dont receive your proof of delivery within 2 weeks, contact USPS by dialing 1-800-ASK-USPS. Provide them the destination zip code and request the local station phone number. Call the delivery station and provide them the Certified Mail article number and request your delivery receipt. Remember the USPS web site does not track Certified Mail in route. It only reports delivery information.
