Stars Of Magic Advance Tickets On Sale Now

Greatest Magic Show In Colorado Springs Will Bring Colorado's Top Magicians Together On One Stage

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (PRWEB) April 19, 2004 --People who enjoyed an exciting evening one year ago might still be wondering how these masters of magic did their jaw-dropping illusions.

As a part of their 25th Anniversary Celebration, the Pikes Peak Prestidigitators are proud to announce several fun-filled performances of their annual Stars of Magic gala - three evenings filled with spectacular illusions, sleight-of-hand wonders, comedy magic and mind mysteries.

PPP President Mark Weidhaas: "This years 7th Stars of Magic is a much anticipated event. This series of magical gala shows are a lot like what you see on TV - just that the performers will dazzle you right in front of your eyes in Colorado."

The shows are scheduled for May 14 at the Peterson Air Force Base Auditorium, May 15 at the Colorado Springs Mann Middle School and May 22 at the Fountain Fort Carson High School. Performers will include: Bruce Black, Michael Collins, Drosselmeyer!, Pit Finn, Mr. H, Professor Higgins, Inspector Magic, Jordan Mederich, Maestro & Hurley the Clown, MC Rob Lorton as well as several special guests.

This year's show highlights include:

- Bruce Black will perform a special salute to our Fighting Men and Woman when a little girls greatest dream will come true.
- Michael Collins will use the power of his mind to alter a scene in a photograph.
- Drosselmeyer! will perform the incredible Houdini Metamorphosis Illusion.
- Pit Finn will show the audience how it's possible to predict the headlines of Colorado newspapers weeks before the show.
- Mr. Hs astonishing act will include the appearances and disappearances of doves out of thin air.
- Inspector Magic will suddenly materialize from nowhere.
- Heads might roll when Maestro & Hurley will display how a blade passes thru the neck of an audience member.
- Jordan Mederich will bring back a childhood dream, as the audience will experience with a mid-May snowstorm inside the auditorium.

All performers will be available after each performance, giving everyone the chance to meet them in person. The three shows are part of a fundraising drive to support programs of the 2004 Rocky Mountain Navy Ball, the Mann Middle School, the Police Athletic League and the Pikes Peak Prestidigitators.

The Pikes Peak Prestidigitators has been serving Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region since they became a Chartered Assembly No. 170 of the Society of American Magicians on March 10, 1979. The Society of American Magicians, founded on May 10, 1902 in Martinka's famous magic shop in New York City, New York, is the oldest and most prestigious magical society in the world. For over a century it has promoted the ideals shared by Kellar, Houdini, Thurston and over 30,000 others world-wide who have held membership in the society. These ideals include the elevation of the Art of Magic, the promotion of harmony among magicians, and the opposition of the unnecessary public exposure of magical effects.
