Pigman Gallery presents Will Russells Basement Dreams"
San Francisco, CA- Do you ever wonder whats causing the noises that emanate from your basement? Will Russell has, and rather than writing them off as the house settling", he approached and befriended the creatures that lurk within these dark confines. Whether these beings exist in the reality we can all relate to or are projections of Wills inner psyche has yet to be determined. But whether or not they are manifestations of the mind or nature at its darkest hour, Wills a swell guy and a darn good painter.
(PRWEB) April 28, 2004 -- Join us for the Pigman Gallerys fourth show entitled Basement Dreams" on May 6th from 6-10 PM, featuring the slightly disconcerting work of Will Russell. The event will be filled with beverages, snacks, monsters, music and fun. The Pigman Gallery is located at 72 Tehama Street (One block south of Howard between 1st and 2nd Streets) in the SOMA district.
Wills career as an artist began on the floor of a cabin where he was inspired by the cold and wet punctuated with strong cups of boiled coffee and fragmented paralyzing gloom." This explains a lot. Yet he was also influenced by more conventional modes such as two exceptional teachers at the Mendicino Art Center, as well as the likes of Jhonen Vasquez, Roman Dirge and Mark Ryder.
So dont be afraid of the dark and join us for the reception for the artist at the Pigman Gallery on May 6th from 6-10 PM. The Pigman Gallery is for Artists in the Kingdom.
