ReadPlease Corporation releases new version of ReadingBar for Internet Explorer with AT&T Voice Technology - now you can have web pages read to you aloud.

ReadingBar 2 is an add on toolbar for Internet Explorer that will read web pages using text-to-speech technology developed by ReadPlease Corporation.

Thunder Bay, ON, Canada (PRWEB) May 10, 2004 --ReadPlease Corporation announces version 2 of their text-to-speech software -- ReadingBar for Internet Explorer. Internet users can now have any web page read to them in a natural sounding voice. ReadingBar is a member of the award-winning ReadPlease software family, and was created as a result of a licensing agreement with AT&T.

ReadingBar is now fully translated into German, French and Spanish (Japanese will be available in May 2004). Using this new version of ReadingBar you can translate a site into another language and have it read to you in that language, all with a few clicks of your mouse.

"This is a real advancement in speech technology and built for the Internet. Our software invention gives Internet users a whole new experience," says Rob McCormack, President of ReadPlease Corporation.

ReadingBar (a toolbar for Internet Explorer) allows users to do much more than they were able to before. Now they can have web pages read aloud, create MP3 sound files, magnify web pages, make text-only versions of any web page, use dictionary look-up, and even translate web pages to and from other languages.

ReadingBar is not limited to reading and recording web pages - it is just as good at reading and recording text you see on your screen from any application. ReadingBar is often used to proofread documents and even to learn other languages.

ReadingBar may fundamentally change the way people access the Internet as this software now makes it easier to access and understand. ReadingBar now encapsulates its own powerful XML based language allowing unlimited customization of playback. Additionally, website designers can make ReadingBar-friendly pages utilizing on demand technology for a rich user experience. CommandScripts are compatible with all website technology including HTML, XHTML, XML, Flash, PHP, JavaScript and many others.

Linda Petteplace, Director of International Sales says "Schools and universities around the world are ordering ReadingBar for many educational uses."

When ordered with the AT&T Natural Voices speech engine, ReadingBar boasts the most realistic, human-sounding synthetic speech available on the market today. Supported languages include US English, UK English, Spanish, German, and French. You can listen to samples of the Natural Voices at: http://www.readplease.com/

Many people find there is just too much on-screen reading. ReadingBar can help alleviate this problem at home, on the road, or in the office. ReadingBar users report far less eyestrain and muscle strain. They can just sit back and relax while text is read to them.

ReadingBar is also useful for people with vision or reading problems, who will find the clarity and infinite patience of text-to-speech software is a godsend. ReadingBar can also serve as a speech substitute for people unable to talk due to a disability.

ReadingBar for Internet Explorer starts at $69.95 US for a digital copy and $79.95 US for a CD. For an extra $30.00 US, AT&T Natural Voices on CD ROM can be purchased. ReadPlease Corporation becomes the first text-to-speech company to make their software optionally available in DVD format. This new bundling allows for the ultimate combination of the highest quality voices and software on a single medium.

You can download ReadingBar for free (30 day evaluation) at: http://www.readplease.com
