A Website for Democratic Pride
USDems.org is using the Internet to collect personal stories from everyday Americans for a new book, Proud to be a Democrat." The book will be published in time for the Presidential elections.
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) May 11, 2004 --USDems.org has launched a new website asking visitors to collaborate in writing a book to be titled: Proud to be a Democrat." Visitors are asked to write why they are proud to be a Democrat by selecting from a menu of issues such as Education, Health Care, Environment, Womens Rights, Labor, Social Security, Civil Rights and others that will correspond to chapters in the book. There is also an open-ended discussion and commentary box for those with other comments and concerns.
For the strong of heart, the site shows the National Debt Clock in real time. USDems.org is loaded with other interesting and important links, including The Bill of Rights, The Declaration of Independence, The U.S. Constitution, how to register to vote, how to contact local Democratic Party officials, and the links page of the DNC.
We want to hear from everyday Americans, in their own words, why they are proud to be a Democrat," said Matthew Danielson, Executive Director. There are many diverse voices in America, and there is a magic in the telling of their stories. USDems.org wants to put together a body of work that comes directly from the wisdom and experience of the American people."
The Democratic Party has led the fight to improve the quality of life for all Americans. USDems.org wants to hear from the people on how the accomplishments of the Democratic Party have affected their lives. We are not looking for polished writing or perfect spelling, just real stories of why they are proud to be a Democrat."
