Black Americans In Publishing, Borough of Manhattan Community College and the Association of American Publishers Host Day of Networking about Careers in Publishing on Saturday, May 15th at Borough of Manhattan Community College.

Black Americans In Publishing, Inc. Borough of Manhattan Community College and the Association of American Publishers hosts annual careers in publishing fair day to increase access to information to prepare for a career in the industry of publishing. BAIP seeks to promote diversity and inclusion in the field of publishing. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to and to meet editors, authors, agents, publicists, book sellers, e-publishing explorers and gain expert insight on how to prepare to succeed in the vast and challenging field of publishing. The fair will be held on BMCC's campus, 199 Chambers Street (enter Greenwich St) from 10am to 6pm.

(PRWEB) May 8, 2004 --Black Americans In Publishing, Inc. in conjuction with the Borough of Manhattan Community College Writing and Literature Degree Program; the Center for Career Development and the Association of American Publishers, Inc. will hold its 2004 Book and Magazine Publishing Career Fair on Saturday, May 15th from 10am to 6pm. The fair is free for BMCC students with ID; $5.00 for other students with ID, and $10.00 for the general public. This event will be held on the campus of BMCC located at 199 Chambers St. New York (please use Greenwich St. entrance).

This will be a great day of networking and gaining information about careers and internships in publishing. Meet authors, editors, human resource representatives, agents, publicists, and more. Join radio host Jeff Gardere, acclaimed author/journalist Harriette Cole; Marcia Cole, Executive Editor of Suede Magazine; industry insider Earl Cox; Coretta Scot King winner, author/illustrator, Javaka Steptoe; award winning author, Jaira Placide; Stacey Barney, Amistad Press, HarperCollins; Angela Dodson, Editor in Chief of Black Issues Book Review; Nathasha Brooks-Harris, Associate Editor of True Confessions magazine; Regina Brooks, President of Serendipity Literary Agency; Trust Graham, Nubian Heritage, Inc. and still much more!!
