Special Issue of ‘Homecoming Magazine Spotlights 16 Christians Reclaiming Culture

Kicking off a new series of theme-driven issues, the May/June 2004 edition of Homecoming Magazine sports a cover story package devoted to key Christian influencers impacting the arts and culture at large.

NASHVILLE, TN (PRWEB) May 11, 2004 --Kicking off a new series of theme-driven issues, the May/June 2004 edition of Homecoming Magazine sports a cover story package devoted to key Christian influencers impacting the arts and culture at large.

On the heels of her special report on Mel Gibson and his triumph The Passion of the Christ, Homecoming publisher (and influencer in her own right) Gloria Gaither interviews best-selling novelist Jan Karon about her beloved Mitford series, and actor Dean Jones about his role in the new Mitford audio drama.

The section also spotlights Christians in several other arts, including graphic arts, theater, handcrafts and film, pointing to unique and important work by the likes of

- Mike Lewis (the Jesus Painter")
- novelist John Grisham (The Testament)
- cartoonist Bil Keane (Family Circus)
- dance troupe Ballet Magnificat
- and more.

The cover theme also weaves its way through some of the regular departments, including a thoughtful Bible study from Max Lucado and a hilarious essay from comedian Mark Lowry.

Future issues of Homecoming Magazine will tackle modern grandparenting, faith in sports, and how Christ is incarnated in our daily lives.

Launched in January 2003, Homecoming Magazine is a joint effort of Salem Publishing (CCM, FaithTalk) with Bill and Gloria Gaither and their best-selling Homecoming brand of concerts, DVDs and television specials. A lifestyle publication for the Homecoming" fan, the magazine is chock-full of fun stories about their favorite artists, advice about health, relationships and spirituality, and insightful discussions with political, spiritual and cultural leaders.
