Ingersoll-Rand Selects DARC Corp for Oracle Applications Training

DARC Corporation announces selection by Ingersoll-Rand Corporation for Project Team Training for rollout of Oracle E-Business Suite of application for efficient, cost-effective and successful global ERP roll-out.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 10, 2004 -– DARC Corp today announced that they have been selected by Ingersoll-Rand Corporation as a preferred vendor for Project Team Training for their rollout of the Oracle E-Business Suite of applications over the next three to five years. This comes at the successful completion of Oracle Project Team Training for Bobcat Inc., a division of Ingersoll-Rand, for their functional and technical implementation team members. DARC teaches using the proven DARC Academy Method(SM) training methodology to ensure successful knowledge transfer initiatives. Training for other Ingersoll-Rand Project Teams will begin as those divisions initiate their Oracle implementations.

We are pleased to be working with Ingersoll-Rand" said DARC Chairman and CEO, David Herrington. With our training program in place, Ingersoll-Rands implementation teams can learn what they need to know right when they need to know it, resulting in an efficient, cost-effective and successful global enterprise resource planning (ERP) roll-out."

Project Team Training through the DARC Academy Method focuses on both Functional and Technical Training and provides the client with the knowledge and decision points that will be required to successfully implement their applications. Functional Training focuses on the business processes contained in each module as well as its key set-up considerations and integration points. By preparing for decision making and having an understanding of the primary function of each application, learners are stimulated to consider core business processes earlier in the project lifecycle and are therefore better prepared to be effective project team members. Technical Training focuses on how the Oracle Applications work from a technology perspective as well as how to extend and enhance the applications using Oracles development tools.

DARC conducted Project Team Training to enable the Bobcat Team to implement Oracle Financials, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, including Advanced Planning and Scheduling. The project consisted of two major audiences: Functional and Technical team members. Functional Training focused on Oracle E-Business Suite functionality and provided an overview of each application, along with discussions of implementation considerations and integration concepts. Technical Training took a group of people with little or no knowledge of Oracle technologies and enabled them to support the implementation from a technical perspective. The sequencing of training matched the progression of the implementation project, providing learners with "just-in-time" learning to maximize knowledge retention.

About DARC: DARC is a recognized leader in the Oracle Applications marketplace with a 12-year track record of successful deployments of enterprise applications from Oracle Corporation, the world's largest enterprise software company. DARC, an Oracle Certified Partner, offers implementation and upgrade consulting, training, patented integration software and managed services. DARC uses the proven DARC Method(SM) project methodology to ensure successful technology initiatives. Further information about DARC can be found at http://www.darc.com.
