Christian rock fest coming to Reynoldsburg Ohio JULY 10
National and Local Bands to Share the Stage at Revelation Fest
(PRWEB) May 26, 2004 --Does God like rock music?
Absolutely. Especially when it's played with the verve and passion that the headliners of "Revelation Fest" play. "Revelation Fest" is a ten-hour music, fun and food event featuring the heavy metal hard rock sound of nationally known artists Kids in The Way and Staple. Ohio based groups, Under The Son also take the stage as part of the extravaganza, which runs from noon to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 10 on the grounds of First Love Community Church in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
"These guys can really rock. Hard sounds. Heavy riffs. They've got it. But they've also got a real-world, personal message. The lyrics really mean something ... and you can hear them," says Cliff Spruill, "Revelation Fest" founder. "Even non-heavy metal fans will enjoy the harmonies of these artists and kids will get to see that 'being cool' and having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ can really go together."
Kids in The Way has been called "the best punk-influenced hard rock band to come out of any music scene."
Staple is known for their "hardcore sound tempered with melodic sensibilities."
With all original music, Lancaster-based Under The Son takes a "been there, done that the hard way" approach to its acclaimed lyrics.
"Revelation Fest" provides a full day of additional family-friendly activities including a moonwalk and other inflatables, games, performers and prize giveaways. Admission is $5 in advance, $7 at the gate. Hot dogs, chips, sodas and other food will be available for purchase throughout the day.
"Revelation Fest" is the first of its kind in the Central Ohio area. Concert and food proceeds will be used to fund First Love's Youth Group missions trip to Mexico city next June.
