ScentAirs Scent Systems Help Recreate Historic Dinosphere At The Childrens Museum in Indianapolis

June 2004-Indianapolis- On June 11, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis will open one of the largest displays of real juvenile and family dinosaur fossils in the United States using scent systems from ScentAir Technologies, a Santa Barbara CA company, to help recreate many of the prehistoric displays.

Indianapolis (PRWEB) June 10, 2004 -- On June 11, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis will open one of the largest displays of real juvenile and family dinosaur fossils in the United States using scent systems from ScentAir Technologies, a Santa Barbara CA company, to help recreate many of the prehistoric displays.

The scents being used include rainforest, earth, magnolia, and evergreen. People can take a step back in time using all of the senses such as sight, sound, touch and now for the first time, scent," says Cathleen Donnelly, exhibit developer for Dinosphere. We asked ScentAir to develop these scents specifically for this gallery to recreate the smells of the Cretaceous Period." Upon entering the gallery, the atmosphere that is created by ScentAir systems evokes the prehistoric age. As people walk by displays, a motion sensor emits a brief scent creating a controllable scent zone that matches each exhibit. There are also educational inter-active exhibits where children can smell the flower-like pods to identify various prehistoric scents of that time.

This adds a new scent dimension to inter-active displays for museums, and entertainment," says Forrest Fleming, ScentAir chief executive officer. ScentAir is used not only in museum settings but also by many leading brand marketers and retailers.

ScentAir Technologies, the leading in-store provider of scent marketing and scent sampling for brands and retailers, offers patented scent systems proven to increase category/brand sales and enhance the appeal of retail environments. These systems release high quality scent in a subtle, clean and controllable way, without the use of sprays, aerosols or heated oils.
