New President and First Woman for the World Future Society's National Capital Chapter

Limor Schafman becomes the first woman president of World Future Society Chapter for the DC, MD, and VA Region

(PRWEB) June 16, 2004 -- Limor Schafman, a market strategist by profession and founder/president of Keystone TechGroup (www.keystonetechgroup.com) recently joined the ranks of chapter leadership for the World Future Society. "I am very proud to have been elected to this position with an energetic Board of Directors and a new international organizational leadership," Ms. Schafman stated. "Together with Tim Mack, the new President of the World Future Society, the National Capital Chapter and chapters around the world are poised to reinvigorate the public perception of futurists and futurism. Our goal is to bring futurist tools and thinking into the every day world of policy makers, business people, educators and the general public. By empowering individuals with tools to make informed decisions, their lives will be enriched and the continued healthy existence of the world ensured."

When asked for a comment on the DC Chapter electing a woman president, Tim Mack, who was at one time General Counsel for the DC-based professional association, Women in Government Relations, said, This is an exciting milestone for WFS as a whole, and we welcome the opportunity to work much more closely with Limor and the National Capital Chapter on a variety of issues."

As President of Keystone TechGroup (www.keystonetechgroup.com), a company specializing in Market Strategy, Alliance Development and Sales, Ms. Schafman brings her extensive experience to bear on behalf of technology companies interested in introducing products to the marketplace or repositioning existing products into new marketplaces. The technology arena offers Limor a wide spectrum of opportunity to bring her business philosophies to bear: believing in listening closely to the market, developing solution based products, and then utilizing market directed communication tools, she helps clients set the foundation for their success and then achieve it. She hopes to employ the same approach with the National Capital Chapter Board to the leadership of the chapter.

Limor began her marketing business career 9 years ago in the sector of entertainment technology, working video game and theme park industries in Los Angeles. Her areas of expertise include technology based product and services development and marketing for such industries as consumer electronics, themed entertainment, retail and shopping centers, visual display technologies, custom software development, and video games.

Limor shares her marketing vision and that of her guests through her international online radio show, The In-Motion Marketing Show, featured weekly on www.BusinessAmericaRadio.com.

And with an eye always on multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural and multi-national trends, she also sits on the Steering Committee of the International Association of Space Entrepreneurs and contributes to various committees of the Greater Washington Board of Trade and the Northern Virginia Technology Council.

Her speaking engagements have included forums at the Center for Innovative Technology (Virginia), WINFORMS (Washington, D.C.) International Export Institute (Israel), International Council of Shopping Centers (Florida), and others.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, BA and Boston University School of Law, JD, she is a member of the California, New York and Massachusetts state bars. She is also an alumna of the Anderson School, UCLA Executive Program for Business Management.
