Isoph Releases Online Assessment Engine
Isoph, a leading provider of learning and communications software and services for mission-driven organizations, today announced the addition of powerful online assessment capabilities to its flagship software application, Isoph Blue. The online assessment engine is the latest in a line of features added to Isoph Blue in recent months and marks the end of Isoph's spring 2004 development cycle.

The online assessment engine is the latest in a line of features added to Isoph Blue in recent months and marks the end of Isophs spring 2004 development cycle.

Basic features of the new assessment engine include:
- "What you see is what you get" (WYSIWYG) authoring of true/false, multiple-choice, and text-based questions, with no need to know HTML or JavaScript
- Display of assessments in courses authored in Isoph Instructor or in any content object authored in Isoph Blue
- Dynamic, on-screen feedback to users for each assessment question
- Ability to track and report on answers submitted by users through the AICC-compliant Isoph Blue learning management system
- Ability for assessments to serve as pre- and post-tests in courses developed in Isoph Instructor
- Ability to specify whether and how many times a user can retake an assessment
Isoph Blue enhancements released earlier in the spring included greatly expanded capabilities for working with Isoph Blue Idea Spaces to create and manage facilitated online learning experiences and work groups. Using idea spaces, Isoph clients can create protected, multi-page work spaces within their Isoph Blue sites and enable access to work spaces only for specified users. Idea spaces may include a wide variety of content, including private discussion boards, file-sharing capabilities, and assessments created using the new assessment engine.
