Small Businesses Join Together to Show Their Support for the Troops

CANAL WINCHESTER, OH (PRWEB) June 21, 2004 -- Operation Steadfast will hold its first Rally on June 26, 2004 at 5265 Gender Rd. between the hours of 10 A.M.- 3 P.M. The rally is designed to show our support, as small businesses, for the troops.

Operation Steadfast is about businesses and people who not only say they support the Troops but more importantly, they believe in them and support their mission in Iraq and other parts of the world. "I have heard many people say they support the Troops but not the mission," said Bill Dollison of Newt's Playing Cards ( www.newtscards.com ). "That is a slap in the face to the brave men and women who not only believe in their mission but are willing to lay down their lives for freedom. It's like saying I support Michael Waltrip but not NASCAR or I support the Cincinnati Bengals, but not the NFL."

This first rally will involve many of the businesses in the strip center that E-Quiver, Inc. ( www.e-quiver.com ) resides in. James Esteph, the owner of E-Quiver, Inc. and founder of Operation Steadfast states, "This rally is in support of our troops to stay strong, stay the course and finish the job." He continues by saying, "Our dream is to be able to show every person in the military that we support and pray for them." The primary way to show this support is through the rallies and to supply thousands of active military personnel with a special deck of playing cards that will be called 'All Hands on Deck.' The deck will contain artwork from various age groups and will outline on each card various reasons to remain steadfast in their mission.

The cooperate sponsors for this inaugural rally includes Newt's Playing Cards, Lauren Industries, Gender Rd. Storage, Caroll Lyn Driving School, Walters New Car Alternative, Integritech and other small businesses. Many of the local businesses will be offering special discounts during the rally. Newt's will be handing out free decks of playing cards to the first 250 children ages 3-12. Other events include exhibits from various Branches of the Armed Services, Motts Military Museum, military equipment (including military Hummers), free food, concessions, voter registration and radio station prizes and giveaways.
