Sigma Selects LXE MX6 Mobile Computers as Key Part of Replacement Healthcare System Project
SYDNEY (PRWEB) June 30, 2004 -- LXE Inc., a global player in industrial wireless computers and data collection solutions improving the performance of supply chains, today announced that Sigma Company Limited's Healthcare Division has selected the LXE MX6 rugged handheld computer for use in their Australia-wide network of eleven wholesale distribution warehouses.
Sigma Company Limited, an Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) listed manufacturer, wholesaler, and retailer of pharmaceutical products, is deploying rugged wireless mobile computers as a key component of their RHS (Replacement Healthcare System) project. By using rugged wireless computers, Sigma will improve stock accuracy, gain efficiencies in replenishment and putaway activities, and achieve greater transparency of transactions.

As part of the project, LXE will also supply and commission Cisco® 1200 series Access Points paired with LXE Spire® Antennas, as well as the LXE RFTerm® terminal emulation for connectivity to Sigmas AS/400 based host application.
