Talent 2K interviewes Kevin M. Thomas

Talent 2K interviewes national recording artist Kevin M. Thomas.

(PRWEB) June 16, 2004 -- T2K: Kevin first off, how did you hear about Talent 2K?

Kevin: A very dedicated fan and personal friend of mine (Kay) who heard me perform in Houston, TX went to great lengths to help me submit my demo to a number of local college radio stations throughout the country in addition to soliciting Talent 2K.

T2K: Kevin, when you sent your demo to Talent 2K, what were your initial thoughts?

Kevin: I believed a great deal in my project and was extremely apprehensive to see just how well my demo would be received by a professional music agency. I knew there were a number of more widely-known bands that I was in direct competition with and wondered exactly where I might fit amongst all the other regional talents that already had large local followings and a proven marketability.

T2K: Once your music was accepted by Talent 2K and you were asked to sign a contract that required a retainer fee what did you think?

Kevin: When I received word that I was accepted by Talent 2K, I was absolutely overwhelmed! I did understand that there was a small retainer which prompted me to have the contract examined by an entertainment lawyer. Immediately they advised me that any professional music agency would require such and further pointed out that the fee would be fully refunded if a recording contract was not presented within 240 days of signature. They additionally stated that most of the music agencies they have worked with in the past have required much larger and more stringent, non-refundable, retainers that sometimes were never guaranteed if a recording contract was not offered within a specific time frame.

T2K: Well now you are signed as a result of Talent 2K, how was your first recording session in Hollywood?

Kevin: It was the most incredible experience of my life! Earlier this year, I permanently brought on board one of finest regional guitarists (Josh) that added an incredible dynamic to the project as a whole. We both flew out to Hollywood and worked with some of the best producers and engineers that the industry has to offer! The simple demo that I once put together quickly emerged into a professionally sounding final product that I can't wait to be released to public!

T2K: Kevin, I know when you signed with Talent 2K you were a bit apprehensive and a little worried, now that you have experienced Talent 2K's service would you recommend it to other unsigned bands?

Kevin: Very simply, absolutely! As soon as Talent 2K went to work marketing my project to the inner-circle of industry giants, I quickly gained exposure on a world-wide level. I have received a great deal of recording offers of which I was able to choose amongst the best! I never dreamed of ever having the chance of even being heard by a record company let alone receiving multiple offers! Talent 2K made that dream a reality!
