Washington, DC (SEO-PR/PRWEB ) July 7, 2004 -- HSToday, the monthly magazine for homeland security policymakers, is taking a close look at how the cradle of liberty is preparing for a flood of politicos, celebrities, protestors and media in the first political convention post 9/11. In its article, "Boston Braces for the Democrats," HSToday examines the challenges of ensuring the safety of participants as well as Boston residents during the 2004 Democratic National Convention which starts July 26.

Following the 9/11 attacks, Boston has served as an epicenter for experimental homeland security measures and counter terrorism tactics. However, the Democratic National Convention, coupled with the "Big Dig," a $15 billion construction crusade to usher Boston roadways into the 21st century, will give homeland security officials "a challenge of staggering proportions," according to HSToday.
