Spektor USA Released 2nd Edition of 'THE SUN' Poster Dedicated to the 9/11 Victims

Spektor USA and september11victims.com announced release of 2nd edition of 'THE SUN' poster dedicated to the victims of September 11 tragedy.

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) July 14, 2004 -- Spektor USA and september11victims.com announced release of 2nd edition of 'THE SUN' poster dedicated to the victims of September 11 tragedy. The 1st limited edition of the poster was mostly granted to the families of 9/11 victims during the WTC first and second year anniversary ceremonies.

This artwork is unique in that it depicts the World Trade Center towers with the images of the 9/11 victims incorporated into the poster. The spiritual effect of the poster is strengthened by the image of the sun between the towers which creates diverse visual associations for the viewers. It has been created using a photomosaic technique without repetition of images.

"We decided to release the 2nd edition of 'THE SUN' poster and dedicate it to the third anniversary of September 11, 2001 based on the huge public response and multiple poster requests," said Alex Spektor, the founder and president of September 11victims.com and author of the poster. "'THE SUN' poster helps to keep the memory of the people who lost their lives on this tragic event. The victims' families who viewed the poster reacted very positively. We were told that poster helped them to begin the healing process of coming to terms with the tragedy. We were also asked by the families to accelerate the process of publishing and distribution of the posters because of its healing effect."

This poster creation was only possible because of web site www.september11victims.com provided with the pictures supplied by victims relatives, friends and some other sources. This poster is chosen by Library of Congress for permanent exhibition (http://www.loc.gov/exhibits/911/911-posters.html).

"I have praised you for giving each one of these people their identities back. Here they are represented as people, mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles, lovers, husbands, and wives. Good Job. I will certainly be using this web page and poster as a teaching tool in the future," saying Ellesia Blaque, one of the site visitors.
