Wheaton, IL (PRWEB) July 16, 2004 -- GrowingCo, Inc. today established an RFID Working Group. The groups mandate is to improve communication between organizations contemplating adoption of RFID (radio frequency identification) technology.
The RFID market is still in its infancy. RFIDs future depends on collaboration between customers and supplier," said Ben Bradley, managing director of GrowingCo, Inc. GrowingCo encourages anyone interested in RFID to join this working group."
The RFID Working Group is chaired by Randy King, COO of FLC Instruments, Inc., and John Alhberg, formerly Chief Information Officer of Cohen Financial in Chicago and currently president of Waident Technology Solutions.
With the Wal-Mart and the Target RFID mandates, RFID is here to stay," said King. "It is important that we assemble a diverse member base to better define best practices for those transitioning to RFID."
"The reason for this RFID Working Group is simple -- to learn from the best practices and mistakes of others so that we can implement this process to everyone's benefit," Ahlberg said. "Collaboration with one another will create a knowledge base of experts and best practices."
