LOVE FOR SALE" PST ANNOUNCES 3rd SEASON

Personal Space Theatrics Announces 2004-2005 Season that includes a World Premiere, A Holiday Classic and Comical Sex Farce

NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) July 16, 2004 -- Personal Space Theatrics opens its third season in September with the World Premiere of the new two-act play Nicotine, by Julien Schwab. It asks the questions: Can we kick our addiction to love? Why am I still here and what does this person have to offer me?" At once a hilarious look at serious issues and a stern look at trivial ones, Nicotine is a dark romantic comedy that travels from the end of relationships among five people bound together by love, addiction, and heartache to the beginning…and then back again. The author delves deep into those moments you realize you are in a relationship because it is comfortable. Developed through PSTs New Playwrights Reading Series, Nicotine will be directed by Associate Artistic Director, Nicholas Cotz.

The unbridled love of money had turned Ebenezer Scrooge into greedy, uncaring misanthrope. For the third consecutive holiday season, PSTs Artistic Director, Stephen Wargo will stage his adaptation of Charles Dickens chronicle of the overnight transformation of one of literatures most well known characters. PST will present A Christmas Carol – In Concert during December 2004. In this staged concert version, Diane Adams McDowell has arranged traditional Christmas carols from Dickensian England and woven them into this timeless story. A Christmas Carol – In Concert is a must see" experience for everyones Holiday Season.

Playwright David Ives, will be represented in Spring 2005 with his farce Don Juan in Chicago, about love, sex and the meaning of life. PST's production, directed by Artistic Director, Stephen Wargo marks both the play's 10th anniversary and the first New York City revival. Traversing time from 16th century Spain to present-day Chicago, Don Juan in Chicago follows the tale of the Don and his assistant Leporello as they cut a deal with the devil to live forever and learn the meaning of life. This is a sex farce for the ages and one that asks, "How much of a good thing is too much?" Get it" or go to hell - the choice is yours!

Nicotine will run from September 16th through October 3, 2004 at Theater 54 @ Shetler (250 W. 54th St. 12th Floor.) Don Juan in Chicago will run from March 3 through March 20, 2005 also at Theatre 54 @ Shetler. Both productions have performance Tuesdays through Sunday. The performance dates and location for A Christmas Carol – In Concert will be announced later in the season.

Personal Space Theatrics was founded with the guiding principle that Theatre was created for audiences. The Company envisions a new environment of play-going, one where actors, audiences and plays themselves meet together in the same literal space without the conventional dual constructs of a stage and auditorium.
