SummerTech Computer Camp Children's Film Festival

SummerTech is holding its first annual Machinima film festival on the campus of Manhattanville College in Purhcase, NY. Free admission, free food, live music, movies, fun!

Purchase, NY (PRWEB) July 24, 2004 -- On August 5, 2005 SummerTech Computer Camp will be holding its first annual Machinima Childrens Film Festival sponsored by NVIDIA on the campus of Manhattanville College in Purhcase, NY. Admission is free. To reserve a spot, please e-mail tickets@summertech.net.

The festival will be at Dammann Hall at Manhattanville College (www.manhattanville.edu). Free food and live music will precede the viewing of the Machinima movies. Campers aged 8-16 at SummerTech have worked on these 3D movies for a number of weeks. Their work will be shown on the big screen. However, SummerTech also invites other kids under the age of 17 to submit their work at the festival. E-mail keshav@summertech.net for submission information.

Information about SummerTech
SummerTech Computer Camp is a high-tech computer camp for kids it its third year of operation with locations in Arizona, New York, South Carolina, and the United States Virgin Islands. SummerTech is operating on the campus of Manhattanville College in Purhcase, New York from the dates of June 27, 2004 -- August 6, 2004. Check SummerTech on the web at www.summertech.net.

SummerTech Computer Camp is open to children ages 8-16 who are interested in learning computer programming (C++, Visual Basic, and Java), web design (HTML, Macromedia Flash), and 3D movie making (Machinima). In addition to its curriculums, SummerTech offers daily electives in Apache Servers, PhotoShop, traditional animation, and many other activities. Gaming tournaments on a network of computers are also a big part of what SummerTech has to offer. Recreational swimming and sports as well as the campus life experience round out this weekly, all-day program.
