T&E Solutions Releases ERP Software for 8(a)Government Contractors

First accounting software package developed by a government contractor for small business government contractors to help them be compliant with DCAA regulations.

Yardley, PA (PRWEB) July 27, 2004 -- T&E Solutions, Inc., a software developer and government contractor, has released a new and affordable ERP software package (ERP-GOV) that is designed specifically for the small and mid-sized government contractor. It provides contractors with a accounting system that helps them stay compliant with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) standards.

In fiscal 2003 the Federal Government awarded over $65 billion in prime contracts to small businesses and an estimated $20 billion in sub-contracts. There are some 7,000 plus small minority 8(a) businesses competing for those contracts.

Contractors are subject to various types of government audits performed by the DCAA and other agencies. They include pre-award, post award, price proposal, incurred cost, contract closing, internal control, purchasing system and EDP audits and they can be overwhelming and expensive. They all start with the contractors accounting system whether it is a manual or computer based system.

Sometimes a company may receive awards and be well into performance on the contract, before a compliance issue is raised. When this happens, contractors may find themselves in a hurry to get a new accounting system so they can pass the complex DCAA audit.

According to Mark Gingery, Director of Business Development at T&E Solutions, until now most small business contractors could not afford a software system that was designed specifically for meeting Government audit compliance. They are just too expensive. So we decided to develop one for use in our own contracts management and now are making it available to other contractors for a lot less than vendors like Deltek.”

ERP-GOV automates the generation of time & material, cost plus and cost plus fixed fee invoices from employee time sheets and vendor payments. It not only provides government contractors with a complete accounting management system but integrates all their major business functions including sales, marketing, inventory, time sheets, payroll, human resources, recruiting and applicant tracking.

T&E Solutions, Inc. is a woman-owned, ISO 9001:2000 business that was awarded a multi year $13.8 million contract with the TSA for providing human factors engineering. They also develop enterprise management software applications for the project oriented business and medical office practice management.
