Optelec USA, Inc. announced today the hire of Tom Cox as Director of Sales for their Low Vision Division. As Director of Sales, Tom will be responsible for leading Optelec's Direct Sales force and managing National Accounts.

Chelmsford, MA (PRWEB) July 27, 2004 -- Optelec USA, Inc. announced today the hire of Tom Cox as Director of Sales, further expanding the sales operations of their Low Vision Division.

Tom Cox joins Optelec with 20 years of healthcare sales and sales management experience. Reporting directly to James Bailey, Vice President of Sales, Toms primary responsibilities will focus on the management of Optelecs direct sales force and national accounts, while working closely with sales and marketing management to create innovative sales strategies, further establishing Optelec as a leader in the low vision marketplace.

”I am very excited to have Tom join our team,” stated James Bailey, Vice President of Sales. His enthusiasm, creativity, and management skills are essential as we continue to expand our presence and market share in the industry.

I look forward to working for a company whose products and people have such a positive impact on the lives of others, specifically those living with low vision,” commented Tom Cox after accepting his new position. So many individuals with macular degeneration and other similar conditions have given up hope of ever reading or writing again, not knowing that there are devices available that can help them. As Director of Sales, I will not only work to support and grow Optelecs market position, but also to create a greater awareness about low vision, and how those stricken can find assistance.”

Tom holds a degree in Management from National-Louis University in Evanston, IL and resides in Naperville, IL with his wife Becky and two children
