United Source One makes Hot 100 List

United Source One, a Maryland-based international food distribution company, was recently named to Entrepreneur Magazine's Hot 100 Fastest Growing New Companies in America for 2004. United Source One ranked #4 on the prestigious List compiled and published in cooperation with Dunn and Bradstreet.

Belcamp, Maryland (PRWEB) July 27, 2004 -- Entrepreneur Magazine announced in their June issue, The companies on our annual Hot 100 list of Americas fastest-growing new entrepreneurial companies are proof that nice guys do finish first.” The magazine named United Source One, an exporter of food products to the Middle East, as the fourth fastest growing new business in America. Michael Imgarten, founder and owner, started the company in October of 2000 with $250K of savings and personal funds. Dunn & Bradstreet reports United Source Ones 2003 sales revenues at $45M.

Imgarten opened the doors to his company in December of 2000 with 16 employees. The company now employs 31 people. Imgarten said, This award means a lot. Its a tribute to all of our employees. United Source One ships food products overseas by sea and air from the port of Baltimore to nine Middle East countries. The company focuses it efforts on the restaurant and food service sector. Its customer base includes exclusive food distributors servicing the high end of the market and American casual dining restaurants, like Chilis, TGI Fridays, Fuddruckers and others that operate in the Middle East. United Source One was also honored in May by being named Exporter of the Year 2004 by the Small Business Administration (a part of the U.S. Department of Commerce).
