Roadhouse Casino License Approved

According to FilmStew.com Chairman, John Culton, the City of Henderson and The Nevada Gaming Commission renewed the grandfather gaming status of the Roadhouse Casino on June 23, 2004.

Henderson, Nevada (PRWEB) July 28, 2004 -- The Roadhouse Casino is located at the corner of Boulder Highway and Sunset Road in Henderson. The Roadhouse has been a local favorite for many years and has a distinction of being the first commercial property on the Boulder Highway in Henderson coming from Las Vegas. The Sunset / Boulder Highway location is the beginning of the Henderson Boulder Strip, with access points to Lake Las Vegas, Lake Mead, and downtown Henderson, bounded by the intersection of Highways 95, 215 & 515. The site is only a few minutes from Las Vegas and within easy access to the Galleria Mall.

According to Culton, "We are very excited about developing the Roadhouse site. Based on the latest gaming statistics, revenues for the Boulder Strip are already up 6.4% over 2003. We have plans to construct an additional 30,000 square feet of state-of-the-art gaming, entertainment and restaurant space."

We are currently in discussions with various developers that have shown interest in a multipurpose site. Our three acre corner at Boulder Highway and Sunset Road is prime for commercial development and would not necessarily interfere with the gaming operation
The grandfathered license approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission allows non-restricted gaming without the requirement of building a hotel. "We are currently in discussions with various developers that have shown interest in a multipurpose site. Our three acre corner at Boulder Highway and Sunset Road is prime for commercial development and would not necessarily interfere with the gaming operation," Culton said.

Presently the Roadhouse property has an 18,000 square foot building situated on 7.8 acres of land. The structure was renovated in November of 2003 and includes a horseshoe bar that seats 36 patrons, a 24-hour grille, a café, banquet rooms and also has one of the largest dance halls in Las Vegas Valley. The Roadhouse lounge and dancehall regularly books local bands as well as artists from around the Country.
