Mimeo Announces New Data Center Latest in a Series of Upgrades to Delight and Expand its Customer Base

Mimeo,Inc. announces new Data Center at its Memphis headquarters. This expansion further enhance Mimeos ability to print and deliver professional-quality documents with unsurpassed turn-around times to its growing customer base.

Memphis, Tennessee (PRWEB) July 29, 2004 -- Mimeo, the leader in web-based print on demand, today announced the launch of a new Data Center at its Memphis headquarters. This expansion completes a series of infrastructure improvements made during the first half of 2004 that further enhance Mimeo's ability to deliver professional quality, superior convenience and unsurpassed turn-around times to its growing customer base.

Mimeo's web-based printing services make it easy for customers to create, manage, print, bind, and deliver error-free documents without ever leaving their desks. Unlike "brick and mortar" print centers that require customers to spend extensive time and resources on site, managing their orders to completion, Mimeo has revolutionized the entire experience, offering new levels of convenience and quality such that Mimeo customers never have to leave their desks.

During the past 6 months, Mimeo has further enhanced the technology, infrastructure and processes within its highly automated production facility in Memphis. These upgrades directly support the strong revenue growth that Mimeo has experienced during this period as well as the ever-increasing velocity and quality with which Mimeo manages their customers' orders and requests.

"These recent investments in Mimeo's technology and processes further reinforce the capabilities responsible for our already passionate customer following and further expand Mimeos leadership in the on demand print space," said John Lyons, Mimeo CEO. "The launch of the Memphis Data Center reflects our continuing commitment, to existing and future Mimeo customers, to lead the industry in providing a level of services and customer care that is simply unequalled in the marketplace."

The enhancements to Mimeo's infrastructure include: 1) a 100+% increase in the number of bar-code-driven Quality Assurance stations, to further bulletproof Mimeo's capability to track the precise status of every order in its system from the moment a customer places an order until that order is delivered; 2) the installation of a redundant power system to maintain functionality in the case of a prolonged local power outage; 3) implementation of the proprietary ADAP (Adaptive Document Assembly Process) algorithm, which provides the fastest throughput velocities for customer orders through intelligent routing logistics; and 3) the new Data Center announced today, which includes both new servers and faster network to increase data transmission capacity. These enhancements to the Mimeo infrastructure exponentially increase the speed at which customer orders and files can be delivered into the system and processed. In addition, these actions further strengthen the redundancy that enables the Mimeo network's 24/7/365 availability.
