Burned Out With Summer Heat? 5 Cool Feng Shui Cures for the Summertime Blues

5 Feng Shui Tips to keep you cool during the summer

ROCKAWAY, NJ (PRWEB) July 30, 2004 -- Are you burned out" from the summer heat? With at least four more weeks of summer weather ahead of us, Feng Shui Institute International (FSII) offers 5 quick and cool Feng Shui tips to help you chill out and beat the heat.

In Feng Shui, the summer season is associated with the Fire element," said Barbara Taylor, FSII Executive Director, and that makes us want to socialize, adds passion to our lives, and increases productivity." But Taylor warns that too much Fire can have the opposite effect and make us tired, listless, and burned out. FSII offers the following Feng Shui cures" for these summertime blues:
·Home décor colors too hot? Add cool accents like light blue, periwinkle, or pale green bedspreads, pillows, or tablecloths to calm and sooth.
·House a mess? A cluttered room will make you feel overheated and tense. Clear the clutter to put out the fire.
·Feeling dry and parched? Create the cooling effect of water with a small fountain, or play a CD with the sound of light rain. Mist your room with a combination of water and a light scent or essential oil, such as Verbena.
·Too much light? Shut off the ceiling lights and use spot and table lamp lighting.
·Kitchen too hot to eat in? Change the location of home activities to minimize sun exposure. Dine out on the shady side of the house for a cooling change of pace.
