to NYC's Legendary Blues Locale B.B. King's For This Year's 7th Annual Hip Hop Benefit Concert.
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 30, 2004 -- Headliners David Banner & Talib Kweli will bring Hip Hop to its roots as they perform this year at NYC's legendary blues locale B.B. King's Blues Club for the 7th Annual Black August Hip Hop Benefit Concert (TM). As a celebration of Hip Hop, the international movement it's become and political prisoners, Black August (produced by the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement) will include in addition to its star-studded line up, local and international emcees such as dead prez, Jean Grae, Flo Brown, Saigon and others to perform in front of hundreds of Hip Hop fans, activists and music industry "who's who." Columbia Records recording artist M1 of dead prez will host this year's concert. With a reputation for it's surprise guest performances, pre-sale ticket buyers are abuzz about who will drop in. Whether the surprise artists are from Mississippi, the Midwest, the West Coast or the South, an overall roof dropping experience is expected by all. Previous Black August performers have included artists such as; Erykah Badu, Fat Joe, Mos Def, The Roots, Goapele, Keith Murray, Dead Prez and many others.
