(August 9, 2004 New York, NY) -- Advertising clients looking for a photographer will usually call an agent and request a portfolio. Today, they have another option – to simply take a walk to Times Square, where they will see huge billboards for LOreal Paris, Pepsi and Baby Phat. While this sounds like business as usual for Times Square, there is one difference – all these campaigns have been shot by photographic team Markus Klinko & Indrani.
Their work has been described as hyper real, ground breaking, and visionary, however most people would simply describe the imagery as beautiful.
For Baby Phat, the pair chose to show Kimora Lee Simmons wearing just trainers and a smile, shimmering against a glitzy backdrop of bling.
The Pepsi campaign recently brought Destinys Child back together at Klinko and Indranis New York studio to create images that are both fun and energetic.
Supermodels Nathalia Vodianova and Laetitia Casta were transformed for LOreal Paris by the duo into goddesses using ethereal metallic tones, lending a futuristic yet contemporary feel to the campaign.
Markus Klinko & Indranis work is highly sought after around the globe. Currently, they are working on projects for clientele in Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Tokyo and Moscow.
The compelling images created by Markus Klinko & Indrani are also in high demand from international fashion and pop culture magazines. They have shot for numerous publications such as Arena, Vanity Fair, Interview, and also just wrapped up their first cover shoot for American Playboy. The pairs iconic CD covers for high profile celebrities including Beyonce, Britney Spears, Kelis, Black Eyed Peas and David Bowie, have also established them on the shortlist of every record company in New York, Los Angeles and London.
More than just creating fresh looks, it would appear as though Markus Klinko & Indrani are redefining the look of modern advertising. One thing is certain, few photographers have a choice of sending a client their portfolio, or just telling them to walk through Times Square.
