New Home Ventilator Saves Environment, Money

When Oregon state residents purchase a RecoupAerator® Energy Recovery Ventilator, they get a tax credit for $430.00.

Athens, OH (PRWEB) August 14, 2004 -- How can you improve Oregon's environment and your checkbook balance? You can start by improving the indoor air quality inside your home.

The State of Oregon now rewards homeowners and renters who install energy-efficient energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) that exchange the air in your home for fresh, filtered air. At the same time, ERVs maintain your home's temperature and humidity year 'round.

Under the Oregon Department of Energy plan, Oregon residents who purchase green" appliances are contributing to the state's supply of reliable and affordable energy," according to the mission of the Oregon Residential Energy Tax Credit Program. The amount of each consumer's tax credit depends on the cost of the equipment, its energy efficiency, and how much energy the unit saves the homeowner the first year.

To receive the highest tax credit, according to Oregon Department of Energy, you must purchase the UltimateAir RecoupAerator® 200DX, manufactured by Stirling Technology, Inc. in Athens, OH. The 200DX exchanges the air inside the average home every two hours and uses the equivalent of only two 100-watt light bulbs to do so. For its superior energy efficiency, the RecoupAerator® earns a $430 tax credit, nearly half the unit's value.

Charles Stephens, policy analyst for the Oregon Department of Energy, says, The Stirling 200DX is the only current product in our highest category, due to its exceptional SRE (Sensible Recovery Efficiency) performance and to its unusually low energy use when running in low speed. There's no other unit like it that we know of."
